A Old Basing drainage engineer,
on call 24/7 with a clear price before we start.
Local Basingstoke drainage engineers covering Old Basing. Blocked drains, high-pressure jetting, CCTV surveys and drain repairs, with a clear price agreed before we lift a cover.

Old Basing was its own village long before Basingstoke grew out to meet it, and it still feels that way. The ruins of Basing House sit at one end, the River Loddon runs through, and a fair number of genuinely old cottages line the streets near the church. It's about ten minutes from the town centre, postcode RG21, and it's one of the more characterful areas we work in, in the nicest possible way and the most awkward one.
Basing House was one of the great Tudor houses of its day before it was destroyed in the Civil War, and the conservation area status protecting what's left of the village now extends to a lot of the surrounding streets, which changes how we approach any job that might need digging. Old clay drains under listed and locally listed cottages are common, access down narrow passages is tight, and we always check what we're allowed to disturb before we start rather than after.
Most common Old Basing jobs
- Drain repairs under listed and older cottages
- CCTV surveys before conservation area work
- Root ingress from mature village trees
- Burst pipes in period plumbing
- Blocked drains near the river, worse after rain

Old Basing FAQ
Yes, and we'd always rather know upfront that a property's listed or in the conservation area, because it changes what we're allowed to do if a repair needs digging rather than relining. Most jobs still clear with rods or the jetter and never need permission for anything, but where we do need to open the ground we'll tell you honestly what that involves before we start.
